JR. INSTALLATION SERVICE TECHNICIAN

PBS Cayman, a trusted provider of business solutions in the Cayman Islands, invites applications for the following position.

The Purpose of This Role:

This role provides technical services, support, and repairs for PBS Cayman's portfolio of business equipment, primarily at customer sites. The role requires detailed break-fix knowledge and the ability to work independently to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Installation & Repair: Install, diagnose, and repair a wide range of specialized equipment, identifying and replacing defective components to restore functionality.
• Client Education: Assist, educate, and explain technical issues to clients regarding their equipment, including guidance on the setup and use of new hardware.
• Operational Support: Provide technical support to customers both on-site and remotely from the office as required.
• Service Management: Manage service calls from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality results even when tasks require more time than anticipated.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate inventory records, submit all required technical paperwork, and manage parts expenses efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a technical support or field service role.
• Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
• Excellent communication skills, strong organizational and time management abilities, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Full-time.
