Junior Legal Counsel (m/f) - Lisbon

We are currently looking for a Junior Legal Counsel with experience on data protection compliance.

In this role, you will report to the Iberia Legal Counsel. You will play a key part in providing legal and compliance support for Affidea Iberia and act as the contact point for all issues relating data protection in Affidea Portugal, working closely with the DPO.

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide variety of agreements for the provision and procurement of services, confidentiality agreements, information systems agreements, business development agreements.

• Provide support and advice for all the functional areas in data protection.

• Implementation and handling data subject rights, data breaches, security measures, DPIA and other projects related with data Protection.

• Support integration projects and M&A.

• Draft and review policies.

• Providing trainings for in-house business teams on legal and compliance topics and processes.

• Provide support in other areas of civil and commercial law.

Requirements

• Law Degree: Qualified lawyer with a valid practicing certificate in Portugal.

• Experience: minimum of 3 years working experience with a good and demonstrable expertise on data protection. Knowledge in healthcare sector can be a plus.

• Language Skills: Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken) is mandatory. Fluency in Spanish is a significant asset.

• Autonomy: Proven ability to operate independently, manage a high-volume workload, prioritize effectively, and handle highly sensitive/confidential matters with discretion.
