Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a hybrid hands-on role for someone who brings strong attention to detail, clear communication, and genuine ownership of their work. The right person will be comfortable learning the fundamentals of a high-performing finance organization while looking ahead - identifying opportunities to make processes more accurate, efficient, and scalable.

In this role, success is more than completing assigned tasks. You will build confidence in core accounting processes, learn how an IT services business operates, and progressively earn ownership of more complex work. As you demonstrate consistency, curiosity, and sound judgment, you will have the opportunity to expand your scope across reconciliations, close activities, reporting, systems, and finance process improvement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities by reviewing transactions, processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and researching internal or customer questions.
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other assigned accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Contribute to month-end close by preparing supporting schedules, validating financial data, meeting assigned deadlines, and escalating issues early.
  • Maintain high-quality financial documentation and ensure transactions are complete, accurate, and aligned with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Partner respectfully and clearly with Finance, Sales Operations, Services, and other teams to gather information and resolve day-to-day questions.
  • Assist with reporting, audit support, process documentation, and special projects as the finance team evolves.
  • Identify recurring errors, manual steps, or unclear handoffs and bring forward thoughtful recommendations that improve accuracy, visibility, or efficiency.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field recommended
  • 2 years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or internship experience
  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with NetSuite or another ERP/accounting system is preferred; willingness and ability to learn new systems are essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate professionally across teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including comfort working with formulas, data validation, and reconciliations

    • Compensation:

    The anticipated base salary range is $62,000–$72,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors. This position is also eligible to participate in Aqueduct's discretionary bonus program, subject to the terms of the applicable plan. This position is based in Canton, Massachusetts, and follows a hybrid work model.
