JV Squash Head Coach

Rye Country Day School is seeking a Boys JV Squash Head Coach. The squash season takes place between November 14 - March 1. Required hours during the season are Monday - Friday, 3pm-6pm. Involvement in the middle school squash program is encouraged but not required. Middle school athletics takes place Monday-Friday from 2pm- 3:30pm.

Specific responsibilities of the position include:

• Serve as Head Boys JV Squash Coach for the Upper School
• Effectively planning and organizing both practice and competition calendars in conjunction with Athletic Director and Staff
• Creating an inclusive, exciting, and challenging environment each day
• Collaborating with the Director of Squash in planning and communication
• Maintaining a safe environment at all times
• Communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner

Desired qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-years successful high school Boys Squash Coaching experience
• A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community
• Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient

Salary range: $5,000 - $7,500 depending on level of play and coaching experience
