About the Role
Te Puawaitanga Ki Ōtautahi Trust is a kaupapa Māori provider of a range of health, education and social services that promote the wellbeing of Māori whānau.
The purpose of the Kairaranga role is to hold and grow Te Whare Pora and safe sleep kaupapa, ensuring whānau have access to culturally grounded raranga spaces, safe sleep education, and safe sleep spaces (including wahakura). The role provides raranga leadership, supports continuity of wahakura supply through safe and sustainable harvesting and weaving practices, and strengthens relationships within the local and wider raranga community to uphold the integrity and continuity of the kaupapa.
This role is 40 hours per week including a minimum of 12 Saturdays per year.
We invite applications from suitably qualified, experienced and motivated weavers with a full driver’s licence and a passion for seeing whānau thrive.
A key responsibility is the co-development, facilitation and implementation of a range of weaving kaupapa aimed at supporting whānau.
