Kids Ministry Director

Position Summary

The Kids Ministry Director provides leadership for the church's ministry of birth through 5th grade by fostering spiritual growth, building relationships, equipping leaders, and creating opportunities for kids to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Reports To

Family Ministries Director

Primary Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership

• Provide biblical teaching, discipleship, and spiritual guidance for kids.
• Lead kids toward a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Ministry Development

• Plan and oversee kids services, small groups, events, camps, retreats, and outreach opportunities.
• Create a welcoming environment that encourages kids participation and growth.

Leadership & Administration

• Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders.
• Manage ministry communication, scheduling, budget, and resources.

Pastoral Care

• Build meaningful relationships with kids and families.
• Provide encouragement, mentoring, and pastoral support as needed.

Church Collaboration

• Work closely with church staff and volunteers to support the mission and vision of the church.
• Participate in church-wide events and leadership meetings.

Expectations

• Model a Christ-centered life marked by integrity, humility, and servant leadership.
• Support the church's mission, values, and statement of faith.
• Maintain flexibility for evening, weekend, and special ministry events.
• Pursue ongoing personal and spiritual growth.

We are asking:

• Plan and prepare for Sunday morning kids church.
• Provide materials and curriculum for kids ministry.
• Schedule and recruit kids ministry volunteers monthly.
• Go to camp with kids.
