Job Description

We are looking for an experienced L2 Support Engineer with strong database support knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux and Unix shell scripting. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting production systems and database environments.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 production support for database and application environments.

Monitor system performance, job failures, alerts, and incident tickets.

Troubleshoot database-related issues and perform root cause analysis.

Work on Linux/Unix servers for log analysis, file handling, and process monitoring.

Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and operational tasks.

Support batch jobs, scheduling, and data validation activities.

Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and application teams for issue resolution.

Perform incident management, problem management, and change support activities.

Ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution of production issues.

Prepare support documentation, SOPs, and status reports.

Required Skills

3–6 years of experience in L2/Application/Production Support.

Strong knowledge of Linux and Unix commands.

Hands-on experience in Shell Scripting.

Good knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting.

Experience in monitoring logs, server issues, and batch job failures.

Understanding of incident and ticket management tools.

Ability to analyze and resolve production support issues independently.

Good communication and coordination skills.
