Lab chemist

Job Purpose:
The Lab Chemist is responsible for conducting laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards, ensuring accurate results, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions required for testing.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Record, review, and report test results accurately.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, GLP, and EHS requirements.
• Support OOS investigations and routine calibration activities.
• Maintain proper handling, storage, and disposal of samples and chemicals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and a clean, safe laboratory environment.
• Report abnormalities, deviations, and equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct home visits/off-site assignments when required based on business or project needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic knowledge of chemistry, laboratory practices, GMP/GLP, and safety.
• Good Microsoft Office and English skills.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and work in a structured environment.
• Flexible to conduct home visits/off-site assignments based on business needs.
