Lab Integration Engineer

Overview

i3 is seeking a candidate that can deliver high-level technical support, system integration, and field service engineering for the IBCS Program. The position involves collaborating with military and civilian personnel to ensure seamless deployment, operation, and maintenance of the IBCS system.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and maintain systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and integrate COTS/GOTS products with IBCS systems
• Perform operator and maintainer tasks on equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software
• Provide technical support services in support of maintaining and sustaining fielded IBCS systems, equipment and software at all identified locations
• Interact with outside teams to coordinate platform availability and configurations.
• Hardware and Software maintenance, including racking and stacking of equipment.
• Demonstrate system capabilities both in the lab and in the field.
• Provide feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user feedback
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
• 3-6 Years of Relevant Experience working on IBCS systems.
• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred:

• Understand IP networks.
• Be able to set up, deploy and Operate Windows, and Linux Operating Systems.
• Be able to run CAT5/6 cables and terminate with commercial or military style connectors.
• Have excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
• Have industry recognized certifications such as Network+ or Security+ or higher

Exceptional Candidates will:

• Be familiar with performing smoke tests, endurance runs, and V&V verifications.
• Be familiar with inventory management of hardware.
• Be familiar with Cyber STIGs and how to apply them.
• Be able to update firmware and maintain Hold Up Battery (HUB) for military radios.
• Have experience with Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI), COMSEC, and common fill devices.

• Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
