Laboratory Engineer – Purification Department, IVD Oligonucleotide Production

About the opportunity

Join our Purification Department in Västerås and contribute to the production of high-quality IVD oligonucleotide products that support molecular diagnostics worldwide. You will become part of a highly skilled and collaborative team of Laboratory Engineers and Laboratory Assistants, where expertise, continuous learning, and teamwork are highly valued. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced HPLC technologies, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support the delivery of products that meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.

Your tasks:

• Perform purification and analyse quality control results of oligonucleotide products using HPLC techniques and Mass Spectrometry (MS).
• Ensure laboratory activities and associated documentation comply with GMP requirements and quality standards.
• Drive LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement activities within the team to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Support method development, optimisation, validation, and troubleshooting activities for HPLC instrumentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve analytical and quality-related challenges.
• Support the training and onboarding of team members on purification methods, equipment, and laboratory procedures.
• Contribute to a safe laboratory environment through adherence to chemical handling and safety regulations.

Your profile:

• University degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience working with HPLC techniques.
• GMP experience.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a structured and flexible approach and a commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
• Experience working with analytical methods would be advantageous.
• Experience with LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives would be advantageous.
