Situated in Senayan Square at the South end of Jakarta's Central Business District, Fairmont Jakarta features 380 spacious guestrooms and 108 Fairmont branded Sky Suites. Additional features and amenities to the urban hotel include a number of lounges and several restaurants featuring a variety of culinary offerings. For corporate events and local galas, the hotel features 3,500 square meters of function space, including a 1,200 square-meter Grand Ballroom.

The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Laundry Department to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and service excellence in the processing of guest laundry, staff uniforms, linen, and terry items throughout the hotel. The role is responsible for maintaining luxury hospitality standards, ensuring proper textile care, managing departmental resources, and delivering exceptional service to both guests and internal stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

• Manage and supervise all daily laundry operations, including guest laundry, dry cleaning, uniforms, linen, and terry processing.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop the laundry team to achieve operational excellence and high productivity.
• Maintain quality control procedures to ensure proper handling, cleaning, finishing, and presentation of all textile items.
• Control departmental expenses, including labor, chemicals, utilities, and operating supplies, to achieve budget targets.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and ensure all laundry equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, environmental, and hotel policies and procedures.
• Handle guest concerns and service recovery related to laundry operations in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel laundry operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry operations, fabric care, stain removal techniques, textile management, and laundry chemicals.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of luxury hotel standards and guest service excellence.
• Familiarity with laundry machinery, equipment maintenance, and operational safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and service standards.
