We are seeking a highly motivated Mass Spectrometry & Proteomics Scientist to support discovery research, lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation development, pharmacology, bioanalytical, analytical, and CMC activities. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, detail-oriented scientist with a strong desire to learn, adapt, and contribute to a fast-paced research environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple scientific disciplines while leveraging advanced mass spectrometry technologies and automated laboratory platforms to drive research and development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize LC-MS/MS methods to quantify proteins and other analytes in biological matrices, including cells, tissues, and plasma.
• Implement automated high-throughput sample processing using liquid-handling systems.
• Conduct routine MS-based and non-MS-based experiments to support discovery, LNP formulation, analytical development, CMC, pharmacology, and bioanalytical objectives.
• With minimal supervision, troubleshoot and optimize analytical assays and laboratory workflows to address evolving research and development needs.
• Execute experiments, organize, analyze and interpret data, maintain accurate documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs), and communicate findings through technical reports and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, safety requirements, SOPs, and documentation standards.
• Stay current with scientific literature, emerging technologies, and advances in proteomics, mass spectrometry, and related fields.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and scientific objectives.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with 1+ years of relevant industry experience OR M.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with at least 3 months of relevant industry experience.
• Experience or familiarity with HPLC, LC-MS/MS, proteomics workflows, and automated liquid-handling systems.
• Experience with quantitative proteomics workflows, including sample preparation (including plamsa and/or cells), digestion, and peptide analysis.
• Demonstrated hands-on laboratory experience including pipetting, liquid handling, sample preparation, and safe handling of biological and chemical materials.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical information and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret experimental data and troubleshoot technical challenges.
• Ability to learn new techniques quickly, manage multiple priorities, follow established SOPs, and operate effectively in a fast-paced research environment.
• Willingness to learn, self-motivated, inquisitive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, R, C++) for data analysis, automation, or workflow development.
• Familiarity with oligonucleotide and/or mRNA lipid nanoparticle (LNP) analytical characterization.
• Working knowledge of automated liquid handling systems is a plus.
• Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs), such as Benchling, and good documentation practices.

Position is Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA are encouraged to apply.
