LCL Pricing Specialist

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

To increase the LCL volume - inbound and outbound – through quotations, follow-up, current business transactions and dedicate at least 50% of time for daily telephone calls.

Key Tasks:

• Minimum of 30 cold calls per day to potential shippers / importers
• Target focus trade lanes where JAS has under-utilized DCC services or where we want to start new services
• Respond to customer requests for quotations within 30 minutes of request
• Follow-up / daily telephone calls with customers and commercial team
• Turn over successful quotations that turn into business to operations
• Input all the information about commercial actions into CRM/WinTouch
• Monthly Report with customer’s details and results achieved: Follow-up on customers that quote case by case / Missing and loss Customers/ Quotation control.
• Record all the inbound and outbound volume gains on monthly basis
• Update the MSR à minimum selling rate to ensure align local market
• Become an expert in the LCL market place, knowing market conditions, rates, services, competitor information
• Check all the LCL rates offered by all NVOCC on a monthly basis and compare them with our co-load policy agreement in order to guarantee that our negotiation is the best in the market.
• Advise sales when customers become large enough for outside sales to call on them

Decision Making Authority:

To provide pricing to customers and JAS offices within thresholds of country agreement

Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge of LCL Ocean Export and Import
• Excellent communication and people skills

Educational background / Work experience:

• 01 year experience of ocean knowledge and LCL/ FCL pricing

Language skills:

• Local language
• English: Fluency

Computer Literacy:

• Outlook, Windows, Word and PowerPoint.
