OVERVIEW:

At Fueling Brains Academies, you’ll have the opportunity to lead your own learning environment, bring your ideas to life and help young children build the confidence and skills they’ll carry with them as they grow.

We’re looking for a Lead Teacher for our Left-Brain classroom - someone who enjoys purposeful, hands-on learning and knows how to turn everyday experiences into opportunities for children to focus, explore, make choices and become more independent.

Think puzzles and problem-solving. Sorting and sequencing. Practical-life activities. Hands-on challenges. Predictable routines that help children know what comes next. A thoughtfully prepared classroom where children are encouraged to try before an adult steps in.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Lead your classroom and create engaging weekly learning experiences.
• Bring structured, hands-on activities to life through children’s interests and developmental needs.
• Help children strengthen independence, focus, working memory and problem-solving skills.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages exploration, choice and growing responsibility.
• Observe children’s progress and use what you see to shape what comes next.
• Work alongside fellow educators and build strong relationships with children and families.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• A current British Columbia Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate.
• Experience teaching young children in an early learning or childcare environment.
• Confidence planning activities and taking ownership of a classroom.
• A warm, responsive teaching style and the ability to balance structure with children’s individual needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with Montessori-inspired learning, structured learning, practical-life activities or other approaches that encourage independence and concentration is an asset - but you don’t need to come from one particular teaching philosophy.

Knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework is valued.

A criminal record check and Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR are required for the role.
