Lead Mechanic/Asst. Shop Manager

Lead Mechanic/Asst. Shop Manager inspects, services, and maintains heavy-duty construction equipment. The Lead Mechanic/Asst. Shop Manager is responsible for driving to the job site, inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet. • Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.

Requirements and Skills

• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge: Must have good knowledge and understanding of engine, hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems, and general mechanical repairs.
• Work Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Lead Mechanic/Asst. Shop Manager. Computer experience with machine software such as Cat ET and Mack Tech tool/Volvo Vcads and/or similar.
• Communication: Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions and must be willing to adhere to plans and directives.
• Health & Safety: Applicants must have a good driving record.
