Lead Software Engineer (m/f/d)

These tasks are waiting for you

• Take technical ownership of Configuration Experience — the team that builds and manages our insurance products — and set the direction for how the team delivers.
• Spend the bulk of your time hands-on: researching technical solutions, writing RFCs, building PoCs with other teams, and shipping the resulting code yourself.
• Act as a sparring partner for product managers and stakeholders on key business and technical decisions.
• Keep delivery on track — plan realistically, follow agile principles, hit deadlines.
• Lead people by example: give feedback, run team meetings, support colleagues' growth. This is a smaller part of the role — most of your time stays technical.
• Spot obstacles early, resolve them, and keep stakeholders proactively informed.

This is what you bring to the table

• Solid hands-on experience as a software engineer with Node.js and TypeScript.
• First experience leading or managing people — you don't need years of management under your belt, but you've done it at least once and want to grow into it further.
• Full-stack understanding across frontend and backend, with a cloud-agnostic mindset.
• Solid experience working with AI tools in your engineering workflow — Harnesses, delegating tasks to subagents, orchestrating multi-agent setups, and similar. Clear communicator, motivated to grow into building and guiding a team over time.
• Insurance or finance experience is a plus.
