Leads team and independently designs, develops, tests, implements, documents, and supports enterprise systems and technologies, including configuration, reporting, and security. Possesses an effective understanding of the enterprise systems and leverages knowledge of business functions, technologies and processes to execute responsibilities.
Principle Duties
- Leads small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements, and develops detailed work plans
- Works closely with business and IT stakeholders to gain user acceptance of application updates and integrations by defining business requirements and leading users through acceptance testing.
- Designs, develops, and maintains applications and integrations by creating, managing, and executing business requirements, technical design documents, and test plans.
- May manage four or fewer employees with respect to a project or a system, and responsible for team's performance; coaches and mentors team members
- Creates documentation and leads team through architecture reviews.
- Develops estimates and capacity plans for general support and projects
- Manages the operational efficiency scorecard for supported systems
- Seeks continuous quality improvements for supported systems; Works with vendor to provide a multi-year road map for supported systems
- Creates and implements effective metrics and monitoring processes
- Recommends improvements and applies standards, processes, and procedures for enterprise systems
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent education/ experience - Required
- Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) - Preferred
Work Experience
- 8+ years enterprise systems programming experience - Required
- 8+ years SQL database experience. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies; 4+ years of ERP experience - Required
Skills and Abiltiies
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams. Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to build consensus - Required
- Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information - Required
- Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex or difficult information - Required
- Java or C# - Required
- Web design, HTML, CSS - Required
- ANSI SQL - Required
- Multi-tier application experience - Required
- PeopleSoft GL, AP, AM, PO, TE, SQL Server, Oracle, OneStream, Markit, Workday, ServiceNow, Hyland OnBase - Preferred
- Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge - Preferred

Compensation Range:
$107,060.00 - $159,390.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
