Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and motivatedLead Teacherto join our large, high-quality childcare center serving children ages6 weeks to 5 years. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while leading classroom staff and fostering positive relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum
- Create a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
- Lead, mentor, and support assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of children’s development
- Maintain accurate records and developmental documentation
- Communicate effectively and professionally with families regarding their child’s progress
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and center policies
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain a structured daily schedule that includes play, learning, meals, and rest
- Foster positive behavior using developmentally appropriate guidance techniques
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement as required by state licensing
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years (preferred)
- Prior leadership experience in a childcare setting preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Utah State Food Handlers Certification
- Ability to pass background check and meet all state licensing requirements
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
