Legal Counsel, Region Americas (Job Description)

 

Seeking an experienced attorney to serve as in-house legal counsel at a growing material handling equipment manufacturer and service company located in Springfield, Ohio.  Candidates should have at least 4 - 5 years of experience primarily in the areas of corporate/business law and/or commercial and product liability litigation and preferably some experience in or knowledge of some of the following areas: labor and employment, government contracts, real estate, corporate governance, intellectual property, data privacy, and antitrust/competition law.  The company is looking for an individual with sound business acumen with a strong desire to learn new areas of law, the business of the company and provide a high level of client service coupled with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.  Reliability and positive attitude are absolutely necessary character traits of the successful candidate.  The successful candidate will possess the ability to both work in a team environment and take complete ownership of work with minimal supervision. 

 

The position will report directly to Senior Legal Counsel, Region Americas but will work with key leaders of the organization, collaborating with clients primarily throughout North America and South America and Legal Department colleagues around the world.  Some travel required (approximately 5% - 10%).  This position will be located at the company’s Region Americas headquarters in Springfield, Ohio.  Currently, the company is offering a hybrid work model after approximately 3 – 6 months of employment which will be discussed in more detail with the successful candidate.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree is required as well as a law degree from an accredited law school and license to practice law in Ohio or the ability to waive into Ohio prior to commencement of employment.
