New York City office of national law firm seeks motivated, hard-working Legal Practice Assistant. Responsibilities
- Expert Document Creation and Editing: Draft, format, and edit high quality documents, including agreements and formal reports and letters to clients. Ensure correct spelling, grammar and layout consistency.
- Case Administration: Manage a busy desk, keep files organized, and handle multiple administrative tasks smoothly.
- Client Relations: Handle frequent client phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
- File Management: Maintain highly structured digital files (physical files when necessary). Quickly learn and use new office and document management software.
- Confidentiality: Protect all sensitive client and firm information.
Requirements
- Document Expertise: Exceptional document production skills: keen eye for detail, proofreading, formatting, and error-free output.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a legal administrative position.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Administrative Skills: Exceptional organizational habits, time management, and the ability to pivot and adapt to evolving technology.
