What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Legal Supervisor to provide comprehensive legal support to our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, drafting and filing necessary applications, providing legal advice, and keeping the business updated on relevant laws and regulations.

What are we expecting from this role?

• Review internal policies, SOPs, forms, customer-facing documents, product documents, marketing/sales materials and business procedures to ensure alignment with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support the contract/agreement review and execution process, including legal review, contract risk identification, negotiation support, verification of signing authority, use of required standard clauses, contract routing, execution coordination, and maintenance of contract records/logs.
• Support regulatory and government relations activities, including preparation /review of regulatory correspondence, regulatory and reports submissions.
• Support corporate governance and company secretarial work, including board/shareholder resolutions, meeting agendas, minutes, approval papers, statutory records and governance documents.
• Support insurance complaint, claim and potential litigation matter by providing legal risk assessment, reviewing correspondence and advising on resolution options.
• Coordinate with external counsel where required and follow up on legal advice, deliverables and implementation of recommendations.
• Maintain proper docketing of company records, legal administrative documents, regulatory correspondence etc.
• Conduct legal research and assist all tasks assigned by the line manager.

Who are we looking for?

• Undergraduate degree in law or equivalent in related fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in insurance, financial industry, law firm, or related industries.
• Proactive in delivering assigned work with quality and timeliness
• Able to understand and adapt to the corporate culture

• Excellent spoken and written English skills
• Knowledge of corporate and commercial law
