LFS Accounts Receivable Specialist

LFS, Inc., established in 1967 in Bellingham, Washington, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Headquartered in Bellingham, WA, we operate seven year-round locations across Washington and Alaska, including Bellingham, Seattle, Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, and Sitka, along with seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek, Alaska. While our core business remains supporting the commercial fishing industry, we have expanded our offerings to include industrial and sport netting, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale and industrial supply, recreational marine and outdoor products, as well as online sales.

Responsibilities

Job Summary: This position will fulfill daily requirements of the company accounts receivable process by ensuring the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to customer invoices, delivery of goods, returns of material, processing of customer payments, communication with customers and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily cash deposits.
• Print and mail invoices.
• Reconcile cash, checks and credit card transactions.
• Research and process charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
• Answer accounts receivable phone inquiries.
• Maintain sales tax exempt documentation files; accurately collect correct sales tax.
• Process credit applications and suggest credit limits.
• Generates commission sales report.
• Reconcile A/R to the G/L
• Maintain all accounts receivable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts receivable documents.
• Assist with month-end closing, including customer statement generation.
• Investigate, call on customers, and resolve past due accounts and outstanding payment issues.

Pay for this position is $23 per hour.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Four-year degree (B.A.); or up to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment: Office Setting. On the second floor of the building, an elevator is available.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer and telephone.

Pay Range

USD $23.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
