Position Overview

PGIC is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide clinical services for clients with mental health and substance use needs. The LCSW will act as a client advocate, provide therapy, and assist clients in accessing resources, while working ethically and professionally with diverse populations. Emotional resilience, collaboration, and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Educational & Experience Requirements

· Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

· Full licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the North Carolina State Board of Social Work.

· Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience working with mental health and substance use populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.

· Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in mental health and substance use treatment.

Work Schedule

· Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

· Some Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities

· Provide ethical and professional clinical services in accordance with licensure standards.

· Manage a caseload of 25+ clients, including therapy and group treatment sessions for children, adolescents, and adults.

· Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, intakes, diagnoses, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge planning.

· Advocate for client needs and connect clients with appropriate resources.

· Participate in individual supervision and peer supervision regularly.

· Collaborate with other clinical staff and community professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, physicians) to meet client needs.

· Facilitate referrals to support agencies as approved by supervisors.

· Deliver crisis intervention as needed.

· Plan treatment courses considering clients’ cultural, social, and personal factors.

· Provide training, supervision, and oversight to subordinate personnel as assigned.

· Attend workshops, conferences, and continuing education to maintain licensure and clinical skills.

· Perform other clinical duties as assigned within the scope of licensure.
