    As a Line Leader you will be responsible for managing the total operation of the line (defined as total production line) on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis through the continuous shift operation to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters. A particular emphasis of the role is to facilitate a team culture across all functional and cross functional disciplines for the specific line.

    The Line Leader will:

    • Serve as a customer liaison and ensure customer quality requirements are met
    • Analyze production data and identify opportunities for increased productivity and quality
    • Drive to key performance goals for production lines
    • Work with various departments on short term and long term projects

    The Line Leader should have:

    • Proven ability to coach, mentor, energize, and engage hourly and salary team members
    • A desire to be on the production floor
    • Strong desire and drive to learn new systems and processes
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Significant understanding of Flow Manufacturing concepts that use Continuous Improvement and Kaizen events.
    • Proficient with MS Office, including experience using Excel for data analysis 

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
    • At least 5 years of experience supervising/leading people and processes in a manufacturing production environment
    • Previous experience in the glass container industry is preferred
    • Availability to support 24/7 operations
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate teams
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
    • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
    • Knowledge of quality control processes and safety regulations in manufacturing
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis
    • Experience with production planning and scheduling software is a plus
