About this role
Live In Caregiver (from 1 March 2022)
Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With an Outstanding rating from the CQC we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide and our reputation. Our aim is to enable a first case experience both for staff and clients.
We are seeking a live in Caregiver to support one of our lovely lady clients to live happily at home. She lives in a Northamptonshire village close to Brackley and our office in Deddington. The client is widely travelled, studied history and was history teacher in various schools in London for a number of years. Subsequently she and her husband moved out to her current home. Her husband has passed away and the client now lives alone.
Until the autumn of 2022 she lived an independent life at home but was admitted to hospital with a chest infection in September and a heart attack in October. She is now more confused than before and her mobility has deteriorated although able to walk unaided. She also has issues with fluid retention and is incontinent. She is 90 years old.
The service we provide is around helping her to stay active, helping with meals and housework as well as support with daily routines and medication. A car driver with access to a car is essential - she does enjoy outings.
Additional Information
As a Live In Care CAREGiver, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
If you're looking for work which is extremely rewarding and satisfactory and have a high-degree of flexibility to meet our clients' needs, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us on 01295 237237.
We encourage applications from all sections of the community as we want to reflect the neighbourhoods in which we work. Home Instead is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. This role is subject to DBS enhanced disclosure.
