Main Function
Aiding the Local Missions Director as the ministry supports RockPointe local mission partners and provides the church with opportunities for an outward focus into the community. Local missions also collaborate with ministries within RockPointe to coordinate impactful opportunities for the church body to volunteer within the community.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in weekly Misson Team meetings
- Assist in planning and coordinating local Mission events
- Available to assist with evening and weekend events, and have schedule flexibility to meet the ministry's needs
- Assist in scheduling and promoting volunteer opportunities to mobilize the RPC body
- Assist in promoting the needs of our ministry partners and promote opportunities to volunteer on RPC Missions social media
- Assist in organizing and maintaining supplies and ministry information
- Assist in coordinating the organization and distribution of in-kind donations
- Assist in assessing the strengths of our current local partners and developing a comprehensive strategic plan for future local engagement
- Ability to perform occasional physical tasks, including lifting and moving supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- Clear understanding of, and commitment to modeling our RPC Staff Values
- Handle and safeguard confidential church information
- Actively attend Sunday worship services
- Attend required staff meetings (1st & 3rd Tuesdays)
- Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
Skills & Attributes
- Basic knowledge of, or ability to learn platforms/media used by RockPointe Church: Bamboo, TouchPoint, eSpace, Nexonia, Asana, Canva, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
- Task-oriented mindset
- Ability to interact with a wide range of people compassionately and patiently
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy
- Operate as a self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills (written and verbal)
