LOGISTIC MANAGER

Role & Responsibilities:

· Supervise Cost Management of all Plant Machinery, Transport Fleet and Fabrication Shops.

· Propose and advise to Management on procurement of New Construction Machinery / Equipment.

· Overview of all Plant &Machinery Preventive Maintenance Program me ensure that break downs are kept to the minimum

· Propose and advise Management on Most Cost Effective Proposals regarding utilization, adding / deleting Plant & Machinery, and Vehicles.

· Receive and Respond to project Manager requests for Plant & Machinery, and Vehicles “as per operation requirement: Advise Project Managers on cost effective ways of utilization.

· Prepare and submit to Management budget proposals as and when required.

· Prepare and submit to Management reports on all aspects of operations to keep them well informed.

· Ensure and follow-up the implementation of “ISO Standards”. Ensure that safety rules are implemented at all times.

· Negotiate with Suppliers / Subcontractors to achieve best possible deals and submit to Management with recommendations and for approvals.

· Ensure that “Confidential Matters” does not leak.

Candidate Profile:

· University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· 10 – 15 years’ experience Managing Construction Equipment and logistics.

· Must be Bilingual ( English & Arabic)

· Ability to deal with “Multi National Work Force”.

· Knowledge of Industry Safety Standards is essential.

· “Strong Leadership Qualities”. Must Process Good Management Techniques.

· Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Good judgments and flexibility to deal with all levels of employees from Labours to Management Staff.

· Effective knowledge of Local Markets Rates.

· Must be able to work under pressure, handle several projects at the same time, set priorities and meet deadlines.

· Well organized with tight schedules.

· Must be computer literate especially E-mail and Internet.
