Logistics Coordinator

Salary: R29 000 – R32 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Logistics Coordinator for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa. You'll own shipment bookings and tracking so UK deliveries land on time.

Role overview

You will book freight and courier collections, keep a close eye on every shipment and step in quickly when something goes wrong. Customers and the internal team will rely on you for accurate delivery updates every day. You will work UK hours, 09:00–17:00 UK (11:00–19:00 SAST), Monday to Friday.

You will join the client's existing team from day one, with a named manager in the UK, regular check-ins over video call and clear goals so you always know how you are doing.

Key responsibilities

• Book freight and courier collections with carriers
• Track shipments and update customers and internal teams
• Resolve delays, damages and delivery exceptions
• Keep shipping records and documents accurate in the ERP
• Reconcile carrier invoices against bookings

What you'll need

• 1 to 2 years in logistics, freight or shipping coordination
• Experience with an ERP or transport management system
• Strong Excel skills for tracking and reporting
• Clear written English for carrier and customer emails
• Comfort resolving problems under time pressure

Nice to have

• Knowledge of UK or EU import and export documentation
• Experience with courier portals such as DHL or DPD
