Job Description

We are looking for a Low Voltage Technician I to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and install low-voltage equipment and related systems. This position will be full-time contract and onsite in Pompano, Florida. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, subject to change based on client requirements.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems and equipment
• Perform work on card access systems, low-voltage controls, physical security systems, CCTV cameras, and network video recorders
• Support tolling sites and department facilities with maintenance and installation activities
• Troubleshoot and maintain power and data cabling infrastructure
• Diagnose and repair system issues utilizing software tools and diagnostic equipment
• Coordinate service activities across multiple departments and stakeholders
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and system documentation
• Complete work orders, maintenance records, and other required documentation
• Adhere to all safety procedures and operational guidelines
• Participate in on-call assignments and overnight travel as required

What You'll Need

Required:

• Valid Class E Driver's License
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage equipment and basic 120/240-volt electrical systems
• Experience troubleshooting CCTV systems, security systems, access control systems, thermostats, relay logic, RS-485 communications, and networking equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals
• Proficiency using volt/amp meters and standard hand tools
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to obtain an Aerial Lift Vehicle Operation Certification within one year of hire
• Ability to complete a 10-hour OSHA Safety Course within one year of hire

Preferred:

• Three years of experience working with structured cabling or low-voltage cabling systems
• Experience supporting physical security and electronic access control environments
• Experience maintaining tolling, transportation, or similar infrastructure systems

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$25.20 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
