Machine Operator (CNC & Gantry Crane) - Night Shift

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Machine Operator to join our team on a permanent night shift (Monday to Thursday, 4:15pm – 2:45am).

This is a hands-on role working across CNC Laser/Plasma machines and gantry crane s in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment.

What you will be doing:

• Operate CNC Laser and Plasma cutting machines
• Operate overhead gantry cranes to position steel plates
• Set up and feed product into machines for processing
• Load and unload steel materials and finished parts
• Assist with dispatch, including loading trucks for delivery
• Monitor cut quality and maintain production standards
• Work safely both independently and as part of the night shift team

Requirements

• CNC plasma or laser machine operating experience
• Proven experience operating overhead gantry cranes
• Experience working with mild steel, plate, or heavy materials
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements
• Strong understanding of machine set-up and production processes
• Confident working unsupervised on night shift
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Strong commitment to health and safety procedures
