Machine Operator - Roofing Manufacturing

Roofing Industries is part of Vulcan Steel Group and has been supporting New Zealand roofers and builders for over 25 years. With 15 branches nationwide, we manufacture and supply quality metal roofing, cladding, rainwater, and related products for residential, commercial, rural, and industrial projects.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Machine Operator to join our Christchurch manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on role working with roofing production machinery in a fast-paced factory environment. **Hours **: Monday to Friday with shifts between 5:00am – 8:00pm, plus occasional Saturday work.

**What you’ll be doing **

• Operate production and roll-forming machinery
• Manufacture roofing products to specification
• Monitor coil and production materials
• Load/unload trucks and support dispatch
• Complete basic production records
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace

Requirements

• Machine operating experience in manufacturing or production
• Forklift or overhead crane experience (preferred)
• Flexible across shifts and factory tasks
• Ability to read measurements and follow instructions
• Strong health & safety awareness
• Physically fit for manual handling
• Basic computer skills
