Machinist I

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow establishedwork instructions and companyprocedures to ensuresafe,quality production.

• Understand andset up tool registers,mills,lathes,drills,Bridgeport, switches,offsets,andCNCprogramediting.computerized equipment for defined runs.

• Responsible for routine machinery maintenance and running visual tests on broken or worn parts while keeping inventory of machine replacement parts.

• Ability toutilizecalipers, gauges,indicators, micrometers, and other hand tools related to the occupation.

• Intermediate ability to read blueprints anddeterminecritical values.

• Follow safety procedures and guidelines in the assembly process.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Cross-traintoonother equipmentas needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:None

Education and Experience Requirements

• Follow established assembly procedures to ensure quality production.

• Certificatein machine shop technology or technology/machinist

• 1-2 years of experiencepreferred,or combination of internship and schoolingmay beconsidered.

• A recognizedapprenticeship may berequired.

• Strong analytical,communicationand computer skills.

• Strong understanding of mathematics

• Strong communicator and team player

• Ability to work independently andwithahighattention to detail.
