Position Overview

H.B. Fuller is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment that supports safe and reliable plant operations. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance while adhering to established safety standards and procedures. This position requires availability for on-call support and the ability to work in industrial environments, including confined spaces and elevated work areas.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, compressors, piping, boilers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.
• Inspect mechanical systems and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineered drawings.
• Assist with equipment fabrication, modifications, and welding tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues.
• Support emergency repairs and respond to on-call maintenance requests.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and required physical examination.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
• Authorization to work in the country of employment and reliable transportation.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience maintaining industrial piping systems, pumps, compressors, boilers, or cooling towers.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and mechanical reliability practices.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, rigging, or gearbox and agitator repair.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout, hot work, line breaking procedures, 5S methodologies, and Class I Division 2 environments.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is Hourly Salary: $32.00/hr.
