Job Summary

THIS ROLE IS ON-SITE IN MESQUITE, TEXAS Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical) | Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield | Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) | Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems | Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures

Essential Functions

• Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
• Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
• Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
• Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.
• Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Problem-solving skills. Technical expertise. Automation. Calibration. Equipment maintenance. Failure analysis. Manufacturing support. Mechanical troubleshooting. Numerical control. Production support. Refurbishment. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Equipment repairs. Mechanical maintenance. Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
