Maintenance Technician - Asta

Overview

Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service to assure continuous production as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance repairs of production equipment per machine service instructions or plant equipment schedule during assigned production shift.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during assigned production shift, and when “on call.”
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Repair and re-build a variety of production and processing equipment. Perform machine mechanic duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Perform building maintenance as needed for the office and plant.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Comply with all OSHA Safety and Health rules and wear personal protective equipment at all times as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Apprenticeship program preferred.
• Two or more years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Must have knowledge of email and preventative maintenance database systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
