Maintenance-Trades Helper

JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a Maintenance-Trades Helper.

Salary: TBD

Start Date: Immediately

Place of Performance: Philadelphia Navy Yard (also known as the Philadelphia Naval Business Center (PNBC).

Hours of Operation: 0700 to 1600, five days per week, Monday through Friday, except observed Federal holidays.

Scope:

The Maintenance-Trades Helper assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as: keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning the work area, machine, and equipment; assisting a journeyman by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by the journeyman. The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from trade to trade. May perform specialized operations, or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers. Perform other related duties as directed.

EDUCATION:

High school or GED diploma.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience.

Training:

• Maintain personnel certification, training, and licensing records. Certification, training, and licensing records must be kept current and on file for the duration of the contract.
• OSHA-10 certification.
• EPA universal certification.
