About the Role:

We are seeking a Finance Manager with strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience in crypto/blockchain transactions. This is an execution-focused role: you will process, reconcile, and report on digital asset activity, and provide day-to-day finance support as we build out our Web3 operations.

You will work closely with senior finance stakeholders on crypto accounting processes and system implementations, applying IFRS to a fast-evolving digital asset environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform reconciliations of digital asset holdings and transactions, including transaction matching, wallet-to-ledger reconciliation, and resolution of reconciling items.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for crypto transactions (token receipts, swaps, staking rewards, gas fees, DeFi yield, impairment) in accordance with IFRS.
  • Deliver ad hoc financial statements (income statement, balance sheet) for crypto-native entities, built from the ground up.
  • Prepare digital asset schedules, accruals, and supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
  • Streamline and optimise the month-end close process, improving efficiency and strengthening internal controls.
  • Support crypto accounting system implementation by testing configurations, validating data migration, and documenting process workflows.
  • Work with Product, Legal, and Operations to understand crypto transaction flows and translate them into finance-ready processes.
  • Respond to audit requests and prepare supporting documentation for crypto-related balances and transactions.
  • Stay current on regulatory, tax, and IFRS developments affecting crypto.

    • Requirements:

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles, practices, and regulations relevant to crypto assets.
  • Working knowledge of crypto transaction flows, wallets, exchanges, and DeFi protocols.
  • Strong Excel/reconciliation skills and comfort working with large volumes of transactional data.
  • Experience supporting finance/ERP or crypto accounting system implementations (testing, data validation, documentation).
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Clear communicator, able to explain crypto concepts to non-technical finance colleagues.
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL and Python) to support data extraction and analysis.
  • Prior experience in a crypto-native company, Web3 project, or digital asset finance team is preferred.
  • Exposure to fast-paced, high-growth, or entrepreneurial environments, and a genuine interest in blockchain, Web3, and digital entertainment
