Accountabilities:
The Manager of Closing will lead daily operations for the closing function, ensuring team effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic initiatives with operational execution while supporting team growth and business goals.
- Lead talent acquisition activities, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new team members.
- Manage team performance through regular feedback, coaching, development plans, and performance reviews.
- Build and maintain a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Train new hires and create effective onboarding processes to accelerate productivity and engagement.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and career development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team discussions to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Manage department projects from planning through execution, including timelines, resources, delegation, stakeholder communication, and progress tracking.
- Monitor team workload and pipeline management to maintain operational efficiency and service quality.

- 4+ years of experience in loan processing or closing operations.
- Strong knowledge of Right of Rescission (RTC) requirements, including timing calculations, compliance considerations, and funding implications.
- Understanding of how title exceptions, liens, judgments, and payoffs impact closing strategies and resolution processes.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from initial concept through successful completion.
- Experience creating, documenting, and improving policies and procedures.
- Strong performance management skills, including providing feedback, resolving conflicts, and supporting team development.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization and manage change through clear communication.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to set expectations, drive accountability, and build trust.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions.
- Experience with home equity investments (HEIs) is preferred.
