What you’ll do

• Lead, stabilize, and continuously improve the Record to Report (R2R) function for the North America Business Unit.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development to General Ledger Supervisors and their teams.
• Oversee day-to-day General Ledger operations, ensuring high levels of performance, accuracy, and service delivery.
• Ensure the timely and accurate execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through effective account reconciliation and financial control processes.
• Oversee General Ledger accounting, intercompany transactions, fixed asset accounting, and lease accounting across a complex multi-entity environment.
• Support financial reporting requirements by ensuring accurate and reliable accounting data.
• Build a high-performing, accountable, and well-controlled R2R organization.
• Develop team capabilities through coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
• Standardize accounting processes and implement best practices to drive consistency and efficiency.
• Champion automation initiatives and leverage technology to improve productivity and reporting accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement programs that enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and financial reliability.
• Foster a data-driven culture by utilizing metrics, KPIs, and analytics to support decision-making and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes, resolve issues, and support business objectives.

Who we’re looking for

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA designation completed .
• 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in a hands-on Strong knowledge of IFRS , month end close, balance sheet control, reconciliation and experience dealing with external auditors
• Experience in a multi-entity, multi-business-unit environment is strongly preferred.
• A solid understanding of IFRS and the ability to apply sound accounting judgment are essential.
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to work efficiently with large data sets and support reconciliation and analysis activities. Experience with Power BI or similar tools is considered an asset.

You’ll also need

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with a heavier workload at month-end.
• Leadership Mindset – Demonstrated ability to lead through change, set clear expectations, coach and develop accounting teams, promote accountability, and build a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS – Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards, with the ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance, exercise sound judgment, and ensure consistent, compliant financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Digital & Analytical Capabilities – Proficiency with financial consolidation software and advanced analytical tools, with the ability to work with complex data, identify trends, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support automation and process improvement initiatives
