About this role

CSIT's Scholarship & Internship Centre manages the organisation's undergraduate scholarship programmes and internship programmes, nurturing young talent from their first engagement with the organisation through to the completion of their studies and beyond. The Centre partners closely with institutes of higher learning, government agencies and internal stakeholders to attract, develop and support scholars and interns.

We are looking for a Manager to lead a team responsible for the management of our undergraduate scholarship and internship programmes. This is a people management role suited to an experienced programme management professional who is passionate about talent development and comfortable operating across policy, operations and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Undergraduate Scholarship Management

  • Oversee the scholarship lifecycle on award administration and ongoing management and deployment process for undergraduate scholars.
  • Design and drive scholars' development initiatives such as orientation, mentorship, engagement events and touchpoints that support scholars through their scholarship journey.
  • Manage individual scholar matters, including counselling and advisory support on academic, welfare and other related matters.
  • Track and monitor scholars progress and develop strong people analytics for decision making.

    • Internship Programme Management

  • Own the end-to-end management of the organisation's internship programme(s), including programme strategy, budget management, and the recruitment, selection and onboarding of interns.
  • Partner with internal departments/institutes to curate meaningful projects and attachments for interns, and oversee programme operations including stipend processing and logistics.
  • Track programme KPIs, and design, conduct and analyse surveys to evaluate programme effectiveness and intern outcomes.

    • People & Team Leadership

  • Build a collaborative, high-performing team culture; manage workload allocation, priorities and performance across the team.
  • Act as a people manager and mentor, guiding team members to successfully deliver on programme KPIs and deadlines.

    • Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously review and streamline policies, processes and systems to improve programme delivery and the scholar/intern experience.
  • Keep abreast of trends and best practices in scholarship management, internship programmes and youth talent development to inform strategy and planning.
  • Prepare data-driven reports and updates for senior management on programme performance, budget and outcomes.

    • Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Background in in any discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience preferably in scholarship, talent or programme management, preferably with experience in a people management or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end programme lifecycles, from recruitment through to development and deployment.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with hiring managers, external partners and young talent.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to policy and programme decision-making. Ability to build dashboards for monitoring tracking would be an advantage.
