At CFGI, Managing Directors serve as key leaders in our organization, working closely with C-level executives at FTSE 100, mid-cap and start-up companies. As a Managing Director, you will take ownership of client relationships, drive engagement success, and play a pivotal role in the firm’s business development and growth strategies.

- Act as a strategic advisor to clients, providing expertise in technical accounting, transaction support, and regulatory reporting.
- Build and manage long-term client relationships and expand CFGI’s market presence.
- Drive firm initiatives, contribute to thought leadership, and mentor high-performing teams.
What you might expect:
- Interact with clients’ executive team and auditors, serving as a subject matter expert, leading clients through complex accounting issues and driving conclusions.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of client engagements, from scoping to execution, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Drive client deliverables of financial and regulatory information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive business development initiatives by identifying new client opportunities, maintaining strong industry relationships, and actively participating in firm-wide growth strategies.
- Mentor and develop professionals at all levels, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Develop and enhance the firm’s training programs, providing guidance on new accounting standards and best practices.
Who you are:
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting – ACA, ACCA, CPA and/or MBA combined with solid accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in accounting.
- 14+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or consulting, including tenure at a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with an ability to assimilate easily into teams.
- Strong technical skills and a working knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Proactive in identifying client needs and effective in building a strong relationship with clients.
- Highly organized and focused and demonstrates the ability to set overall engagement expectations and direction.
- Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable.
- High energy with commitment to quality client service, focusing on ensuring positive resolutions to conflicts.
- Consistently seek opportunities to enhance your skills by attending higher-level training, develop firm training materials and enhance overall firm knowledge base.
