🤓 The team

You will be member of the Securities team, responsible for the processing and controls Mandatory Corporate Action.

The Securities Operations officer is part of the Operations department and works closely with internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll be helping launch this activity in Lisbon, working closely with our experienced team in Switzerland.

The role will be based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, 1990-084 Lisboa, Portugal).

👨‍🔧 Your responsibilities

  • Successful applicant will be responsible for the mandatory Corporate Actions managing and processing within the Portuguese Securities Operations team. Understanding of the core system and process workflows of Corporate Action are essential.

  • Ensure operational efficiency and excellence and maintain low levels of operational risk.

  • Handle queries, concerns and issues from our clients and relevant stakeholders.

  • There is an expectation that he/she understands the relevant markets and demonstrate front-to-back knowledge of the process(es) he/she is managing.

  • Get involved Operations projects and initiatives, including the migration of Mandatory Corporate Actions processes to Lisbon

  • Work closely with the counterpart Swiss teams, ensuring processes are aligned.

  • Adhere to client service standards within the team, and consequently positive impact the client ratings for Operations

🧙‍♂️ Your core competencies

  • Bachelor degree, and / or professional qualification in Banking / Finance.

  • Up to 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Actions processes.

  • Familiar with financial products as well as the market infrastructures, regulations and operational risks. Knowledgeable about SWIFT messages types.

  • Proven experience in leverage technical expertise to provide clients with quality processing and solutions

  • Ability to build and maintain a strong communication channel with clients and stakeholders

  • Good knowledge and practice of Office suite. Excel VBA macro knowledge is a plus.

  • Demonstrate a knowledge of the key risk areas of the Corporate Actions functions and its relevant controls, strong escalation skills and create the ability to be part of the diagnostic process.

  • Ensure that the controls are performed according to the procedures
