AI Summary
A 6-month paid co-op on Klaviyo's Brand, Creative & Events team, supporting the creation of video, motion, and animation assets for global marketing, building scalable creative systems, and partnering with Customer Education on customer-facing content.
About this role
At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you’re a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you’ll still consider applying.
This is a 6-month (January 4th–June 25th, 2027) paid co-op experience out of our Boston, MA headquarters. Co-ops are required to be onsite 5 days per week in our Boston, MA office.
As a Brand, Creative & Events Co-op at Klaviyo, you'll join our Digital/Creative team, where the work is video-forward, visually driven, and focused on telling a story well, specifically through marketing assets built for customers. We're looking for students who think like creatives and like systems-builders at the same time: people who love making video, motion, and visual work, but who also like figuring out how that work can scale across teams, regions, and channels. Our team is also finding new ways to use AI in our creative work, from video and editing to content production. You'll get hands-on exposure to that as part of your day-to-day, not as a side project.
How you will make an impact:
- Support the creation of video, motion, and animation assets used across Klaviyo's marketing teams globally
- Help build and refine a "one-to-many" creative system so assets can be adapted efficiently across teams, regions, and channels
- Partner with the Customer Education team to develop customer-facing video and creative content
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and stakeholders across the Brand, Creative & Events team to bring campaigns to life
Who you are:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, with an expected graduation date in May 2029, in Communications, Marketing, Social Media, Design, or a related field
- A strong creative storyteller who brings a real point of view to their work, not just someone who executes on a brief
- Passionate about video production, with proficiency in tools like After Effects, Canva, or CapCut
- Solid on design fundamentals: typography, color theory, layout, and composition
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of your creative process to move faster without losing craft
- Working knowledge of Figma, which is Klaviyo's marketing design standard
- Experience managing and posting content on social media channels
- Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly
- Proficient in Google Suite and Slack
We'd love to hear from you if you've:
- Designed and launched your own content, brand, or platform from the ground up
- Applied Claude Design or Claude Code hands-on to actually ship something
- Used no-code or low-code tools like Vercel v0 or Cursor
- Produced or edited animation and video content, whether through coursework, freelance work, or personal projects
