SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of multiple marketing initiatives based on the needs of the business. These may include tasks such as social media marketing, content and collateral creation, ad creation, event management & execution, newsletter & blog writing, product marketing messaging, graphic creation, and KPI reporting. This role develops engaging content, analyzes performance, and makes adjustments as necessary to drive more brand awareness, qualified leads, and customer growth. This role supports marketing efforts in existing and new service areas, and collaborates with other members of the marketing team, internal market success teams, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure consistent brand messaging. The ideal candidate is creative, adaptable, open to learning new marketing tactics, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
POSITION SCHEDULE AND ONSITE REQUIREMENTS
This is a full-time, direct-hire position based out of our Franklin, TN office. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the role is fully on-site. Occasional attendance at events outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
- Support the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and support customer growth.
- Plan and execute assigned marketing initiatives.
- Write, edit, and proofread engaging marketing content for assigned scope such as social media, emails, advertisements, direct mail pieces, sales collateral, presentations, and other communications.
- Coordinate the development and production of marketing materials, working with internal team members, graphic designers, vendors, and other partners to ensure projects are accurate, on brand, and completed on time.
- Help maintain consistent brand messaging, tone, visual standards, and product information across marketing channels and materials.
- Track campaign activity and performance metrics, prepare routine reports, and help identify opportunities to improve marketing results.
- Make approved adjustments to campaign content, audiences, timing, or tactics based on performance data, customer feedback, and direction from Marketing leadership.
- Collaborate with other members of the Marketing team, Market Success teams, Sales, Product, Operations, Customer Experience, and other departments to support company priorities.
- Assist with the planning and execution of community events.
- Represent United Communications professionally at community events and in interactions with customers, prospects, vendors, and community partners. Some events may occur during evenings or weekends.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, communicate project status, meet deadlines, and promptly raise questions or potential delays.
- Review marketing materials carefully for accuracy, grammar, branding, pricing, offer details, and required disclosures before distribution.
- Stay informed about United Communications’ products, service areas, target audiences, competitors, and evolving marketing practices.
- Learn and apply new marketing platforms, tools, processes, and tactics as the needs of the Marketing team and company evolve.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, or a related field; and/or equivalent professional experience required.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in marketing, sales, or customer service.
- Creative thinker with a strong eye for design and aesthetics.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Canva.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to quickly learn new tools and platforms.
- Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Adobe Creative Cloud and/or 3+ years of professional experience using Adobe Creative Cloud.
- 3+ years of professional experience using Canva.
- Experience in the telecommunications or ISP industry.
- Experience working in a creative marketing agency.
- Experience managing third-party marketing vendors.
- Understanding of B2B and B2C marketing strategies.
