Masterthesis in the field of Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Data-Driven Analysis (m/f/d), Duration 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Setup, execution, and analysis of molecular dynamics simulations for organic systems.
• Development and application of methods for analyzing simulation data.
• Application of statistical and machine-learning-based methods to analyze molecular properties and simulation data.
• Automation of simulation, data-processing, and analysis workflows using Python and Linux.
• Execution of computationally intensive simulations in high-performance computing environments.
• Collaboration with experts in computational chemistry and data-driven materials research.

Qualifications:

• Completed bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, computational science, or a related field.
• Experience with molecular dynamics simulations and interest in molecular and materials modeling.
• Good programming skills in Python
• Experience working in Linux-based environments.
• Familiarity with statistical and machine-learning-based data analysis, particularly for the evaluation of scientific simulation data.
• Experience with high-performance computing systems and running computationally intensive applications is an advantage.
• Knowledge of commonly used molecular dynamics simulation software is an advantage.
• Interest in modern simulation methods, scientific computing, and artificial intelligence.
• Good English skills.
