Job Description:

TheMat PilatesInstructoris responsible forproviding qualityMat Pilates programing andclasses designed to meet the needs of our members at thePozezJCC.Reformer experienceisa plus.

Outside of theirMat Pilates instructorposition, J-FitInstructorshave the flexibility to pick upadditionalfitness staffing opportunities which include, but are not limited tosupport desk hours,personal training, private specialty training,small grouptraining,and on-site workshops.TheMat Pilates instructorreports to the FitnessDirector.

Qualifications:

• Nationally recognizedMat Pilatescertification

• CPR/AED certification

• Must be well-organized,punctual,and preparedwhen scheduled to instruct class

• Must be able to think independently and develop routines for teaching specific exercise classes

• Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury

MainResponsibilities:

• Establishing andmaintaininga safe environment for exercising

• Arriving to teach class in advance of the scheduled time to greet participants, answerquestionsand address concerns

• Arriving well-prepared, musiccued,and routine thought out

• Sharing educational information with your class participants

• Teaching classes with energy and enthusiasm

• Motivating class participants to the best of your ability

• Keepingup to dateon safety and fitness trends

• Reporting any equipment/facility problems to theFitnessFacility ManagerorFitness Director

• Begin and end all classes on time

• Ensure that class areas are cleanprior to and afterclasses

Hours:

Flexible,7 days a week. Preferred times of availability: weekdays 7AM-1PM and/or 4PM-8PM.

StartingPay: $26.00 - $32.00perclass
