Material Handler/ Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

The Material Handler/ Forklift Operator is responsible for safely maintaining the flow of goods through each step of the production process and ensuring all materials are stored in an appropriate manner.

• Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hour weekly rotating shifts

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain the effective flow of production parts from cast, to work in process, to finished goods
• Ensure all materials are stored and maintained in an appropriate manner
• Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklift, etc.) to facilitate continuous production
• Monitor production lines and keep supplied with required components
• Monitor on-hand inventory of component parts
• Record information using appropriate documentation and attach identifying labels to products
• Assist with shipping functions as required
  

Skills & Qualifications:

*Forklift experience/ license is required*

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively
• Previous inventory experience an asset
• Working knowledge of manufacturing process and parts an asset
