Position Summary: Meals on Wheels Volunteer

Join the Meals on Wheels program at First TN Human Resource Agency (FTHRA) as a volunteer and help deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors in Northeast Tennessee. Your time and dedication make a direct impact by addressing food insecurity and combating social isolation for some of our community's most vulnerable members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver meals to clients along assigned routes with timeliness and care.
• 
  Provide a brief and friendly interaction with clients, fostering community connection.
• 
  Report any concerns about client well-being to Meals on Wheels staff.
• 
  Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines.
• 
  Represent FTHRA and Meals on Wheels positively in the community.

Qualifications:

• 
  Must have a valid driver's license, current auto insurance and access to reliable transportation.
• 
  Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy.
• 
  A friendly, compassionate attitude and commitment to helping others.
• Clear background screenings.

Time Commitment:
Flexible, typically 1–2 hours in the morning during the work week (Monday through Friday).
