South Bay Solutions is dedicated to 100% customer satisfaction through attention to detail and teamwork. We have an immediate opening for an Assembly Technician responsible for building parts to meet customer quality requirements.

Schedule : Day Shift - Mon - Fri : 8 am to 4:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble parts by following applicable manufacturing documentation.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly, e.g. install Helicoil and Dowel pins, etc.
• Perform inspection to ensure the part meets specifications and standards using instruments such as calipers and height gauges.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain assembly equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control Department to ensure all assemblies meet quality requirements.
• Maintain proper Job Traveler documentation.
• Report any malfunctions or hazardous conditions in the area to the supervisor.
• Perform other job-related duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1-2 years’ experience in machine shop assembly, specifically in Helicoil and Dowel pins.
• Must be able to read and interpret simple blueprints and follow assembly instructions.
• Ability to use calipers, height gages, hand tools, box cutters and other tools effectively.
• Excellent level of hand-eye coordination to work with small components in a controlled manufacturing setting.
• Basic math skills.

Education / Experience

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent plus hands-on experience.
