Join Foth as a Mechanical Process Engineer, where you'll play a key role in delivering innovative utility solutions for industrial clients. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of process utility systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive project success. You'll help shape best practices, apply cutting-edge engineering approaches, and grow your expertise in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other project disciplines to ensure integrated solutions
Prepare equipment specifications and technical documentation
Partner with clients, vendors, and suppliers to generate cost estimates and contribute to proposal development
Create mass and energy balances to support process design
Produce process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Compile equipment lists, line lists, and points of connection (POC) documentation
Define operational parameters and performance criteria
Work closely with designers to translate engineering concepts into drawings
Author installation scope documents for construction teams
Provide support during on-site construction and installation phases
Assist with system checkout and start-up activities
Mentor and coach junior team members as needed
Conduct on-site surveys to assess existing conditions
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
7+ years of experience with utility systems such as steam, refrigeration/ammonia, compressed air, HVAC, compressed gases, and water systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Professional Engineer
Industrial HVAC and Dust Control experience
